Huyck.Wangner's ancestors manufactured metal wires and woollen press felts at the beginning of the industrial age, and quickly established an excellent reputation in the paper industry. FORMING
Excellent formation and retention, high drainage capacity, low marking, good fabric stability and outstanding running performance define Huyck.Wangner Forming Fabrics. Evolution and revolution have extended the capabilities of the range from single to double-layer, from X-Weave to triple-layer, and latterly through to the most modern structurally bound Huytexx/Optiply family of forming products. By continuously analyzing their performance and application, and by applying innovative techniques and investment, these new generations of fabrics have been optimised, giving them state of-the-art capability with value added features that meet customer needs.
The latest generation of Huyck.Wangner Forming Fabrics, recently introduced to demanding machines, and based on a new unique warp concept is named Selectra/Vortexx.
PRESSING
On the press felt side, paper quality parameters, such as printability and twosideness, became more and more important and papermakers recognized the great influence of press clothing on the production performance of their paper machines. Laminated felts were introduced to meet the increasingly high nip pressures and to handle higher water volumes under greater load. Seam felts were also developed, a further milestone in the paper industry which can be used at nearly all applications today! Latest developments are focussed on multishaft double and triple layer press felt concepts that are constructed for immediate start up, excellent runnability and highest drainage on fast running paper machines.
